Provided Gear
McClure's
Guide Service provides all the top quality equipment you will need for
an enjoyable fishing experience. No need to worry about boats,
fishing rods, tackle, life preservers, or rain jackets, though you are
more than welcome to bring your own personal gear.
McClure's
Guide Service uses custom made 20' 6" flat-bottom Willie
Predator boats powered Yahama 35 horse power,
four-stroke outboard motors.

At McClure's Guide Service you will be provided with Lamiglas Certified Pro Rods & high quality reels, fish with confidence in your gear. There are a variety of outlets locally where additional fishing gear may be purchased in Soldotna, Kenai, and any where else in Alaska.
Packing
for your Alaskan fishing vacation with
McClure's Guide Service
Pack as you would for any other vacation, regular personal items and clothing you need for your stay in Alaska. In addition to long-sleeve shirts and long pants, shorts and tee-shirts the following list is highly recomended, or can be purchased upon arrival:
- Be sure to bring along a warm jacket, hat, and a sweater or hooded pull-over in case of windy or rainy days.
- Lots of socks and a sturdy pair of boots.
- Gloves
- Sunblock
- Your camera with plenty of film
- Binoculars (optional)
